We are delighted to announce that over the Christmas holidays, builders finished installing our new Sunken Ship play area for Reception.
This new area features a Trim Trail, climbing walls and a sunken pirate ship climbing frame. It also has a soft, spongey floor for safety.
Its main purpose is to give Reception their own space, along with our Learning Garden. Although our Reception class uses it the most, the space is still used by all our other Key Stage One classes when available.
Giving Early Years pupils their own spaces to explore, play and adventure empowers them to build meaningful, long-lasting friendships with their peers.
Despite the cold weather, everybody’s been having an amazing time exploring the Sunken Ship during their break and lunchtimes. We’re now even more excited for the spring and summer, as the sun will let our new area shine more than ever.
