Uniform
We take pride in each and every one of our pupils at the academy, and know that they are equally proud to be wearing their academy badge on their uniforms.
All Academy uniform will be supplied by Monkhouse Schoolwear Specialists via their local store or their online service Monkhouse.com. Uniform is available in their Bedminster shop on East Street, and you can make an appointment to visit them and be fitted for our uniform. Reception to Year 6
General Uniform
Children need to wear their school uniform and have a coat in school every day. The required uniform consists of:
- Charcoal grey or black trousers/ skirt
- Purple chequered dress
- White or purple polo shirt
- Academy purple jumper (school logo)
- Black, grey or white socks / tights
- Sensible black shoes (not trainers)
- Academy book bag
In the summer months pupils will be allowed to wear a purple chequered dress, and grey or black smart shorts.
Plain black or white religious head coverings are optional.
Sports Uniform
- Academy purple PE top
- Black PE shorts/ Joggers
- Black, white or grey socks
- Plimsolls or trainers
- Draw string PE bag with Academy logo
Pupils may also wear an Academy PE sweatshirt during the winter months, or plain black jogging bottoms.
Jewellery & Personal Belongings
Stud earings and watches are the only permitted jewellery on site. Pupils wearing any other items, such as hoop or long earings, rings, or bracelets will be asked to remove them.
Please do not send you children to the Academy with personal belongings other than those required for study. Mobile phones will be confiscated and any games devices brought in for break times should be done with caution. The school accepts no responsibility for lost items.
Personal Property
Items of personal property should not be brought into the Academy unless there is a special reason and authorisation has been given by the class teacher. If older children in year 6, require mobile phones for safety reasons when making their own way home, these should be handed to the class teacher on arrival. The Academy accepts no liability for the loss of personal possessions. All belongings, including all items of Academy uniform should be clearly labelled.
