Pupil Leadership

Pupils have lots of meaningful opportunities to take responsibility in the
school. They are keen to use these responsibilities to make the school a safer,
cleaner and better place for everyone.

We feel it is important for our young people to feel empowered and have a say in how they feel aspects of the Academy should be run. Therefore, we offer are a wide range of opportunities for students to take on leadership roles.

These include being part of our:

• Pupil Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
• Elected Academy MPs
• Physical Wellbeing Champions
• Mental Health Champions
• 9 Habits Champions 

At Oasis Academy New Oak, we understand that having the chance to feel heard by your peers and by  staff, being able to take part in special school activities, and finding your voice among the crowd can be life-changing. Therefore we give all of our pupils the chance to be a part of the student leadership team, and to be involved in all events across the year.
