Mr Allan - PrincipalI'm Mr. Allan and I joined New Oak in January 2021. I have loved adding my family to the New Oak family. I have three small children Auri, Ru and Wilfred. I do feel sorry for them as both their parents are teachers. Our favourite thing is visiting the Aquarium, the Wild place or sneaking into New Oak to feed the chickens. If you ever have any problems just come and find me and I will help or find someone that can.
Miss Black - Deputy PrincipalHi, I'm Miss Black, I have been part of the New Oak family since 2019. I'm very proud to work here, as well as within other schools across the Trust in my role as National Curriculum Implementation Lead. In my free time I enjoy playing a variety of sports, going out with friends and going on holiday.
Mr Morris - Assistant PrincipalHi, I'm Mr Morris, I joined New Oak in 2024. I am the leader of The Orchard. The Orchard is our Resource Base that supports 28 children with a diagnosis of Autism. I joined when it grew from 2 to 4 classes. One of my favourite things to do is to travel. Recently I have been to both Mexico and New Zealand. |
Key Stage One

Miss Tarling - EYFS Lead
Hi, I am the early years foundation stage leader. I love everything about working in reception and starting children on their journey at New Oak.
In my spare time, I enjoy lots of family time, cooking and cycling.

Mrs Webb - Year 1 Teacher & Phase Leader
I am the phase leader of KS1 and EYFS, I am also reading lead and work across Oasis, as a phonics National Lead Practitioner.
I absolutely love reading and try to ignite the passion of reading into every child at New Oak. You will always find me reading or book swapping around the academy!

Miss Matthews - Year 2 Teacher
I have been a part of the New Oak family for 5 years. Before joining, I spent some time teaching in the surrounding areas of Bristol and the Middle East. I was fortunate in knowing I wanted to be a teacher at a young age, so have a rooted passion to educate children and make an impactful change to little lives. When I’m not teaching, you will find me on adventures, running or spending time with my loved ones.

Miss Smith - Teaching Assistant
Hi! I love spending time with my family and friends, going on outdoor adventures and playing netball. I've been part of the New Oak family since my eldest was in Reception and I absolutely love it!
Mrs Butcher - Specialist Teaching Assistant
My favourite thing about New Oak is all the members of our family. I have had the joy of working in the Autism Resource Base for many years and now thoroughly enjoy my role in Acorn class. I love going to the gym, holidays and being around my children and grandchildren.

Mrs Lloyd - Specialist Teaching Assistant
I have worked at New Oak for 16 years and have thoroughly enjoyed watching the children grow through their time here. Aside from being part of the year 2 team, I also happily help everyone across the school with their iPads and all the fantastic apps and resources that they offer.
When I am not at work, I love going on holiday, visiting different cities and spending time with my family.

Mrs Lear - Teaching Assistant
Hi, I'm Mrs Lear. I have been a part of the New Oak family since October 2023. I have two wonderful children, who both attend New Oak and we love being part of this community. As a family we love spending time together, walks around the Bristol harbour, day trips, holidays and making lots of memories together.

Mrs Costa - Teaching Assistant
Hi, I’m Mrs Costa. I have worked at New Oak for 10 years. I have worked across most of the age ranges. I live a very active lifestyle and if I am not running, at the gym or watching ladies football, you will find me making pizzas!
Key Stage Two

Mr Wells
Year 6 Teacher
Teaching has always been my passion and I love being part of children’s learning journeys. My favourite subject to teach is computing and I lead the computing curriculum across the school. I also love doing assemblies, especially celebration assembly!
My free time is spent with my family and dog, Snoop, as well as going to the gym and seeing friends.

Miss Sherrin
Year 5 Teacher
I have been teaching at New Oak for 5 years in both key stage 1 and 2. Completing my NQT (first year of teaching) here, I love being a part of the team and making a positive difference to our community. As well as an embedded love for teaching, I bake delicious creations to spread joy and celebrate special occasions! During half terms, I like to go on adventures, read and spend time with family and friends.

Mrs Rea
Year 6 Teacher & Phase 2 Lead
I started my teaching career in Birmingham and have worked at New Oak since I moved to Bristol 4 years ago. I also have a role within Oasis as a National Lead Practitioner of reading, where I support other academies with their reading planning. When I am not teaching, you will find me having lots of family time, going on nature walks and exploring the Bristol sites.

Mr Orbell
Year 4 Teacher
I joined the New Oak family in 2024. Having moved to Bristol from the South Coast. I have been lucky to have the same class for a couple of years. When not in work you can find me treading the boards and willing to try my hand at anything.
Mrs Cooper
Year 3 Teacher
I joined the New Oak team this year full time, having completed my PGCE here last year. Teaching is my second career and I cannot wait to get my first year under my belt.

Mrs Fry
Teaching Assistant
I joined Oasis Academy New Oak in 2013. I absolutely love working with children and you will always find me with a smile on my face! I attended New Oak as a child, and both of my boys also started their schooling journey here.
I love hugs and making sure all children feel loved and valued!

Mrs Monks
Teaching Assistant
I started New Oak in 2013 and have enjoyed both seeing the school grow, as well as my own children blossom here. I am an avid runner and if I am not having some downtime with my family, you will find me at different sporting events.
Mr Roberts
Specialist Teaching Assistant
Hello there! I am Mr. Roberts and I joined Oasis Academy New Oak in April 2012. I am a very proud father to two amazing children - Olivia and Alfie. As a family, we enjoy going to the beach, forest walks and camping. We also love asking Alexa to play our favourite songs and then bounce around the living room - singing and dancing. Never be afraid to stop and say ‘Hi’, I’d love to have a chat with you. Keep smiling!

Teaching Assistant & Lead First Aider
I have worked at New Oak for 10 years and truly love being part of the New Oak family. You will mostly find me in Birch class, although I have worked across all the year groups. I run the hive after school and love to try and think of creative and fun things for us to do. Outside of work, I am a youth worker and work with children and young adults from 8-20.

Miss Bradford - Resource Base Teacher
Hi, I’m Miss Bradford. I the Lead Teacher in The Orchard. I love being creative and when I am not creating things for school, I enjoy doing crocheting and making bunting.

Miss Williams - Resource Base Teacher
Hi, I’m Miss Williams. I have been at New Oak teaching Pear Tree Class for 3 great years! I live in Brislington with my cute little guinea pigs, Locke and Lamora. In my spare time I like to read my books, play video games and ride on my friend’s motorbike.

Miss Cole - Resource Base TeacherHi, I’m Miss Cole. I started at New Oak in 2024. Having previously worked in Oasis Bankleaze and Venturers Academy. I now work in Apple class and have a real passion for inclusion and ensuring children reach their fullest potential.

Miss Blizzard - Resource Base TeacherHi, I’m Miss Blizzard. I started at New Oak in 2023 as a student teacher. I then started my ECT in 2024. Its been amazing to work in The Orchard and support the amazing children and families.
Mrs Sewell - Resource Base TeacherHi, I’m Mrs Sewell. I joined New Oak in September 2025 to teach in Pear class.
Mrs Bailie - Teaching AssistantHi, I am Gail. I have supported in the ARB for 11 years and love getting to know the children. I am a mum to two lovely sons and enjoy spending time with my family.

I started my career at New Oak in the Deaf Learning Base and have worked in The Orchard for the last 3 years. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
Mrs Parsons - Specialist Teaching Assistant
Working in the Autism Resource Base is fantastic, as you get to be part of the children’s journey from the time they start at New Oak to when they leave. I enjoying making resources for children based on their interests and needs. In my free time, I love spending time with my children and grandchildren.

Hi, I'm Rachel! I enjoy spending time with my family, including my dog Billy and cat Lucky.

Miss Barnett - Specialist Teaching AssistantHi, I'm Phobie. I have supported in The Orchard for the last two years. Alongside working in The Orchard I am studying for a degree - hopefully one day I will become a qualified teacher.
Miss William - Specialist Teaching AssistantHi, I'm Cody. I have worked at New Oak since I was an apprentice in 2023. I started working in Acorn class with Reception children and after a brief period at another school I was so happy to come back and support in The Orchard.
Deaf Learning Base
Mr ConstableTeacher of the Deaf
I have been working at this school for over five years. In my free time, I like reading, watching TV and listening to music, but not at the same time (unless the TV programme has subtitles or there is music playing as part of the TV show or I’m learning the words to a song). My favourite fruit is apple and my favourite trees are hawthorn.
Miss Chan
Teacher of the Deaf
I am a Teacher of the Deaf and I work at New Oak on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays. I really enjoy working in the DLB and supporting the deaf children around the school.
At the weekends, I like going for walks, reading and baking cakes for my family. I also like yoga and dancing. If you want to learn any BSL signs, please come and find me.
Pastoral Care

Sinéad - School Family Link Worker & DSLDia duit, my name is Sinéad and I have worked at New Oak for a very long time – almost 16 years! You will see me in the playground most mornings/afternoons and if you hear your children talking about working in the Rainbow Room then you will know that they have spent some time with me! I have 2 sons, Ciaran and Flynn and a golden Labrador called Gracie dog. I live locally and am very passionate about our community and how we make it a fun and safe place for our children.

Mrs Maione - SENDCo
My passion has always been in supporting children with special needs, I particularly enjoy going into classes and supporting teachers in adapting and planning to meet the needs of every child. In my personal life, I have two beautiful young children and I love spending my free time with them, even better when we go on holiday!

Mrs Clarke - Pastoral Support
I joined New Oak in 2023. The same year in which my daughter joined. I have the pleasure with working with children across the school and giving them any extra support they may need. In my personal life, I am a Mum to three wonderful girls.

Jodie - Operations Manager
Hi, I’m Jodie. I am the Operations Manager at New Oak and have been here since 2024. Come and grab me if you have any problems with BromCom or MCAS. One of my guilty pleasures is a cup of bubble tea!
Lou - Receptionist
Hi, I’m Lou. I work Monday’s to Wednesday’s in the office and love greeting all the children and parents. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, walking my cockapoo, Winnie, and finding lovely coffee shops!

Sarah - Receptionist
Hi, I’m Sarah. I work Thursday and Friday in the office and I would say my favourite part of my job, is getting to know all the families at New Oak. I use my spare time to do lots of volunteering!
Steve - Site Assistant
I have worked at New Oak for over 10 years and enjoy keeping New Oak looking as best it can be! When I am not at New Oak, I spend lots of time with my sons and going on big walks with my dog.

Mr Gregory - Sports Specialist
Hi, I'm Mr Gregory. I joined New Oak in February 2023. I love everything about sports, you will more than likely catch me on a football pitch or playing cricket when the sun's out! In my spare time, I enjoy taking trips away, spending time with my family and singing some good karaoke!
Aaron - Site Manager
Hi, I'm Aaron. My wife Kelly and I both work at New Oak and we love being part of the New Oak family. Outside of school you'll find me spending time with my beautiful family, playing the guitar or going to the theatre.
